LA FENICE is a 1962 Laurent Giles gentleman's motor yacht, a rare example of British naval architecture originally built as a support vessel for the America's Cup challenger Sovereign. Her steel hull spans nearly 96 feet with a 21.5-foot beam, powered by twin Gardner diesel engines producing 460 horsepower for efficient long-range cruising. The design reflects her offshore heritage—engineered for demanding passages and exceptional seakeeping.
The yacht accommodates nine guests across four suites and three crew cabins, each with its own head. The interior was refined by designer Christian Liaigre, creating an understated and elegant living environment that respects the boat's classic character. Modern conveniences include Starlink broadband capability integrated throughout.
Between 2021 and 2023, LA FENICE underwent an extensive technical rebuild. Her machinery, systems, electrics, electronics, pipework, thrusters, generators, and decks were comprehensively renewed or replaced, bringing her mechanically to contemporary standards while preserving the authenticity of a gentleman's yacht. The steel hull and structural elements received corresponding attention during this period.
The boat carries a historic Load Line exemption, a testament to her pedigree and proper maintenance. She is fully documented with engineering reports and surveys on file.
