This 1964 Lyman 25 Sleeper is a wooden cruiser built for classic elegance and practical harbor use. At 26 feet with an 8.5-foot beam, the boat features traditional lapstrake construction combined with substantial modern upgrades. Power comes from a rebuilt and upgraded 5.7-liter Chrysler V8 gasoline engine, with a cruising speed of 18 knots.
The interior combines mahogany woodwork on the gunwales, transom, and bow with maple deck upgrades. A sleeper cabin in the bow provides accommodation for overnight stays, and a small head is installed aboard. Additional features include a built-in cooler beneath the passenger seating, GPS navigation, and a Fusion sound system.
The hull has been professionally restored with stripping, repair, resealing, repainting, and re-varnishing. Over 1,000 chrome components were re-chromed and refinished as part of the work. The electrical system was reinforced with a doubled battery bank. RGB LED underwater lighting illuminates the aft section, and the bottom paint and zincs are recent. The toilet and macerator system have been updated, and a custom-fitted boat cover is included.
