A 1986 Baltic 83 designed by the legendary American naval architects Sparkman & Stephens, this sloop combines the Finnish builder's robust construction with proven blue-water cruising credentials. At 83 feet in length, the yacht was engineered for extended offshore voyages with comfort and safety as core principles. Power comes from a single 280-horsepower Wizemann diesel engine, providing a cruising speed of 10 knots and maximum speed of 7 knots under sail.
The interior is arranged with five cabins and four heads, configured to accommodate cruising crews and guests on long passages. The layout supports extended comfort during extended time at sea, with proper ventilation and accommodation spaces throughout.
The yacht underwent complete refitting in 2006 and additional oceangoing systems work in 2017. Since 2021, work has been extensive and systematic. Recent updates include replacement of the desalinator, clutch discs with inverter system, cabin television units with smart TVs, outboard engines (Yamaha 40/70 pair), and ice maker. The generator was replaced in 2022, as were service batteries and the generator battery. That same year saw comprehensive overhaul of the anchor windlass, complete mast removal with full rigging inspection and replacement of all mast cables, new on-deck instrumentation suite by B&G, and recut and restitch of mainsail, genoa, and staysail. In 2023, the forward engine valve group received complete removal, overhaul, and valve replacement. The guest cabin mattresses were replaced throughout. Recent work in 2024 included complete teak deck replacement (lowered 8mm), full deck resealing, cabin bathroom mirror replacement, complete refinishing of the saloon flooring, overhaul of the roller furling staysail system, and propeller replacement.
