The 1990 Cooper Prowler 9M is a 32-foot fiberglass cruiser built in British Columbia and recognised for its stable hull design, responsive handling, and solid construction. Power comes from twin 2019 Volvo Penta 300 hp gasoline engines with fuel injection and variable valve timing, fitted with DPS duo-prop outdrives. With approximately 300 hours on the engines, they deliver smooth, quiet operation and have been professionally maintained since installation. A Lewmar bow thruster with wireless remote simplifies close-quarters manoeuvring and docking.
The boat cruises comfortably in the 23–30 knot range with excellent fuel efficiency—typically 3 to 3.5 litres per nautical mile at optimal cruise, dropping further at reduced speeds. Navigation and engine management are integrated through a Volvo Penta glass cockpit displaying real-time data, depth, and charts. The lower helm includes dual Garmin GPS chart plotters, drive-by-wire throttle controls, and an ICOM VHF transceiver. The upper helm features a Garmin chart plotter, fish finder, and additional navigation equipment.
Below deck, modern systems include a 2019 electric head, induction cooktop, and upgraded 55-gallon freshwater and 28-gallon holding tanks. A NovaKool marine refrigerator, Victron battery monitor, and CO/smoke detector support comfortable cruising. Electrical systems feature four 6V house batteries, a 2000-watt inverter/charger, and 700 watts of solar panels with charge controllers. The boat carries a 2025 Highfield RIB dinghy with a 2019 Yamaha outboard and stainless steel davits.
Recent upgrades include new canvas covers with roll-down sunshades, professional hull polishing, and custom aluminium engine bay hatch. A Maxwell windlass with anchor system and stainless steel claw anchor complete the cruising setup.
