1991 MEFASA Corona Del Mar

A 120' aluminum motor yacht built by MEFASA in 1991 and designed by Don Shead, Corona Del Mar was originally commissioned as the private yacht of the King of Spain. With interiors by Concasa and Merritt Knowles, she blends royal pedigree with serious offshore capability.
Powered by twin MTU 16V 538 TB93 military-spec engines producing approximately 4,500 HP each, she is capable of speeds up to 38 knots through twin waterjets — with a shallow 5'2" draft that opens up cruising grounds most yachts this size can't reach.
She sleeps 10 guests across 4 suites with accommodations for 7 crew. Her semi-displacement aluminum hull, teak decks, and generous fuel capacity give her a range of roughly 1,000 nautical miles at cruising speed.
The engines underwent W-6 level rebuilds in 2004 and have logged approximately 1,500 hours since — roughly 3,500 total. MTU recommends replacing age-related seals and gaskets on a 10-year cycle, and a full inspection is advised before sustained high-speed operation.
Corona Del Mar has been on the hard for approximately two years and will need new batteries, full systems commissioning, and cosmetic work at the new owner's discretion. She is a rare opportunity to acquire a historically significant, high-performance yacht with strong bones and real upside — at a fraction of replacement cost.
