The Oyster 80 Deck Saloon represents a classic ocean-cruising design by Holman & Pye, built by Oyster Marine to long-range bluewater standards. This 1993 fiberglass yacht measures 80 feet in length with a 20.5-foot beam, offering substantial volume and seaworthiness for extended voyages. She is powered by a Cummins 6CTA 8.3 diesel engine producing 350 horsepower, installed in 2008, delivering reliable performance with worldwide parts availability. The yacht cruises at 8 knots with a maximum speed of 10 knots.
Below deck, the boat accommodates four cabins and four heads, arranged for comfortable cruising or liveaboard use. The deck saloon layout provides sheltered outdoor living space while maintaining the classic lines of the design.
A comprehensive technical overhaul has been completed recently. All 17 seacocks were removed and replaced, the propeller shaft was serviced and shaft bearings replaced, and bottom work with new antifouling was finished. The main engine and generator have been fully serviced. The autopilot drive motor is new, freshwater pumps and the complete freshwater pressure system have been serviced, and all four toilets were fully overhauled. The watermaker has been repaired and serviced, a new refrigerator installed, and new bimini, sprayhood, and sun protection added. Dinghy and outboards have been serviced, and the life raft was repacked and certified. Starlink satellite internet has been installed for global connectivity.
