1994 Nelson Marek 43

This 1994 Nelson Marek 43 is a composite-hulled cruising sailboat with a 12.4-foot beam and a single 44-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine. The boat received a comprehensive refit in 2021 that included fresh paint throughout the hull, deck, and spars, along with new interior cushions and repainted interior spaces. A new Volvo engine was installed in 2020 with minimal running time of approximately 50 hours.

Navigation and electronics were upgraded with modern instrumentation including a B&G Triton system paired with large Garmin displays at the mast, a Zeus chart plotter with GPS, AIS transponder, and B&G VHF. The boat carries a 30-gallon fuel tank and updated interior lighting. A 2021 Ullman mainsail completes the primary sail plan.

The sail inventory is substantial and spans multiple decades of manufacture. A 2021 Ullman main is supported by numerous secondary sails including jibs, asymmetric spinnakers, and symmetric spinnakers from respected makers such as North, Doyle, and Quantum. These sails range from 2004 to 2015 and are reported in good to excellent condition, offering the new owner multiple options across varying wind and sea state conditions.
