WILD HORSES is a 61-foot aluminum sloop designed by Robert Perry and built by James Betts Enterprises. Built in 1997, she carries a 16-foot beam and is powered by a Yammer auxiliary engine. The design represents Perry's approach to a well-balanced passagemaker—a hull conceived for distance cruising with the ability to sail efficiently in a range of conditions.
The boat was constructed to support extended offshore passages while maintaining comfort for those aboard. Her aluminum hull provides durability and the structural integrity needed for serious blue-water work. The design balances seaworthiness with the practical accommodations required for long-term cruising.
