1997 Sea Ray Sundancer 400

This 1997 Sea Ray Sundancer 400 is a 40-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by twin MerCruiser 496-MAG H.O. engines producing 425 horsepower each. The boat reaches speeds of 38 knots and cruises comfortably at 28 knots, with trim tabs for enhanced handling. Originally built for freshwater operation, the yacht has accumulated 1,047 total hours, with 450 hours on the re-powered engines.

The interior follows a mid-cabin layout with an owner's stateroom forward, open galley in the main cabin, and a mid-cabin stateroom with privacy door. Two heads feature Vacuflush systems; the forward head includes a stall shower and vanity with sink. The saloon benefits from two-zone air conditioning and heating, central vacuum, and a Westerbeke generator. A large U-shaped cockpit accommodates substantial seating and includes a wet bar with sink and ice maker, snap-in carpeting, and electronic aft deck access. An extended swim platform and boarding steps are fitted.

The boat carries extensive navigation and electronics through a Raytheon package including VHF radio, radar, GPS/chartplotter, and autopilot. A windlass anchor operates from forward pedal controls. The canvas package includes a cockpit mooring cover, forward and aft Biminis with glass surrounds and slant-back rear. Audio features an upgraded Bluetooth system with speakers and iPod/MP3 connectivity.

Recent improvements include newer refrigeration, heads, cabin carpeting, a full canvas package, and a custom aft deck table. The generator has 419 hours of use.
