This 50-foot Custom Carolina Blackwell Sportfish is a proven offshore platform built on a composite hull. Twin Caterpillar C12 diesel engines totaling 1,410 horsepower drive the boat, backed by new ZF transmissions and propellers installed during a 2024 complete repower. The yacht has been extensively rebuilt and updated, with comprehensive mechanical and systems work completed across 2023–2025.
The accommodation layout features two staterooms and one head. The main cabin includes an L-shaped sofa to port and a sofa to starboard, with over-under companionway bunks providing additional berths. The galley offers substantial storage, and the boat is equipped with a bait freezer, refrigerator-freezer, and TV console. A rebuilt steering system with new helm is installed throughout, along with a Northern Lights 12kW generator.
Navigation and fishing systems are modern and comprehensive. Electronics include dual Raymarine Axiom 12-inch multifunction displays, one 7-inch Axiom display, Raymarine autopilot, and Caterpillar digital engine monitoring. Fishing equipment includes a fighting chair with rocket launcher, outriggers, and outlets for both 12-volt and 24-volt electric reels. A new Airmar R599 3kW CHIRP transducer and Airmar B164 transducer are installed, along with dual Icom VHF radios, Starlink satellite internet, and a Fusion stereo system.
Recent work includes engine room re-glassing and repainting, new through-hulls and plumbing systems, air conditioning and hot water heater replacement, fire suppression system upgrade, and bottom blasting with fresh primer and paint. The exterior finish shows age and would benefit from repainting, but the mechanical and structural condition is well-maintained and ready for offshore use.
