This 1999 Island Spirit 37 catamaran offers exceptional interior volume for her size, with a 22-foot beam that delivers the spaciousness and comfort of a much larger boat. Powered by twin Yanmar 60-horsepower diesel engines, she is built on a fiberglass hull and designed as a capable cruising platform without excessive cost or compromise on liveability.
The galley-up layout supports a four-stateroom, two-head configuration ideal for family cruising or extended voyages. Two aft queen berths and two forward double berths provide comfortable accommodation, while the salon and deck spaces take full advantage of the wide beam for entertaining and everyday living.
Significant upgrades over the past decade have brought the boat to current standards. The engine on the port side was replaced in 2016 with 396 hours; the starboard engine was renewed in 2010 and now carries 1,361 hours. A lithium house bank of 840 amp-hours was installed in 2020, supported by two air conditioning units (one from 2016, one from 2024). Navigation and autopilot are handled by a B&G Zeus 12-inch multifunction display with GPS, radar, and AIS added in 2020.
The sails are new as of 2025—fully battened mainsail, genoa, and stack pack. Deck paint was refreshed with Awlgrip in 2020, and synthetic teak was fitted in the cockpit that same year. The hulls carry a blue vinyl wrap applied in 2016. Bottom paint is current through 2026.
