The 2000 Pursuit 3400 Express is a fiberglass cruiser built for serious offshore fishing. Powered by twin Volvo Penta diesel engines producing 740 hp combined, the boat reaches 32 knots at top speed and cruises at 26 knots. The Fisherman package includes a custom tuna tower, hardtop, and outriggers configured for extended time on open water.
The single cabin provides sleeping quarters, with one head and a galley for basic provisioning. The express layout keeps the focus on fishing and cruising capability rather than elaborate interior accommodations. At 33 feet 9 inches long with a 12 foot 9 inch beam, the hull offers a stable platform in varied sea conditions.
The boat has undergone substantial structural work as of December 2024. The hull was stripped and all compromised balsa coring was replaced with coosa, and stainless steel through-hull fittings were installed throughout. Recent upgrades include new port diesel turbocharger (2026), new engine start AGM batteries (2025), custom Awlgrip paint (2025), new plexiglass corner windshield inserts (2026), and rebuilt aftercooler and heat exchanger (2026).
