2001 Contender 23 Open

This 2001 Contender 23 Open is a single-engine center console built on the brand's 24.5-degree offshore hull design, which delivers a soft, dry ride through choppy conditions while maintaining stability at rest. Powered by a Yamaha V225HP OX66 2-stroke outboard with 875 hours, the boat reaches speeds up to 43 knots and cruises at 28 knots. The hull features a recessed bow rail, forward recessed gunwale rod holders, and a walk-through transom. An in-floor livewell and dive swim ladder support fishing and water activities.

The boat has undergone extensive work, including new marine electrical wiring throughout, a new 150-gallon fuel tank with anti-rust coating, and new fuel lines. The gelcoat has been completely refinished in sky blue inside and out, and the upholstery is new white vinyl. A new vinyl canvas T-top with storage box provides shade and weather protection. The engine compartment features a new hardwired battery charger and multiple bilge pumps with float switches.

Navigation and entertainment systems include a Garmin 741XS MFD plotter with GPS and thru-hull transducer, VHF radio, and a Fusion MS-RA70 stereo paired with JL Audio speakers, subwoofers, and amplification. Multicolor LED spreader lights and separate LED helm lights illuminate the boat. The helm has analog gauges throughout, Yamaha throttle and motor trim controls, and twin Yamaha tach/gauges. Trim tabs with rocker switch aid handling. Deck features include saltwater and freshwater washdown systems, courtesy and cockpit lighting, shore power plug-in, and Taco outriggers with telescoping aluminum poles.

A recent 300-hour service has been completed. The boat comes with a 2025 Magic Tilt Real Xtreme dual-axle trailer with brakes and a full gray canvas cover.
