This 2006 Dufour 40 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built by the French yard and configured as an owners' cruising version. The boat features a 9/10th sloop rig with a Sparcraft furling mast, stainless steel standing rigging, and a rigid boom vang. It carries a comprehensive sail inventory including furling mainsail and genoa (both Elvstrom performance sails from 2006), a furling Olympic jib, a gennaker with snuffer, and a Fin-Delta stabilizer sail added in 2021. A 55-horsepower Volvo D2 diesel engine with saildrive powers the yacht, paired with a three-blade folding prop and rope cutter. The engine has 1,200 hours on it. Fuel capacity totals 190 liters across two tanks, with 330 liters of fresh water storage and a holding tank.
The accommodation comprises two double cabins—one forward and one aft—with a single head featuring a dedicated shower room. The saloon includes a convertible berth with an unused extra mattress. The galley is equipped with a three-burner gas cooker, oven, and grill, alongside a 12-volt fridge with freezer. Hot and cold pressure water runs throughout, served by an electric pump system with automatic pump-out in the shower. The cockpit features teak seating and a teak toe-bar. Interior amenities include roller blinds for deck hatches, mosquito screens on cabin windows, and a Clarion radio and DVD system with cabin and cockpit speakers.
Navigation and safety systems are extensive. The Raymarine suite comprises two ST 60 Tridata and two ST 60 Wind displays at the helm, an E80 GPS/plotter with repeater display at the chart table, a C70 radar, ST6001+ autopilot with rotary motor, a 54E DSC VHF at the chart table with exterior cockpit speaker, and a handheld 101E VHF. Additional electronics include True Heading GRTX AIS, Weatherman RadioTelex, and an electronic barometer. Safety gear includes a six-person liferaft (new in 2020), a new-model GME EPIRB with battery valid through December 2025, two Raymarine Lifetag MOB systems, radar reflector, and dual bilge pumps with manual override and emergency tiller.
The electrical system runs 12-volt and 220-volt circuits with shore power connection, automatic battery charger, and a Mobitronic charge controller managing one starting battery (new 2014) and two 100-amp service batteries (also new 2014). The head features both an electric toilet and spare Jabsco manual pumps. Winch hardware includes two Harken 48 ST Genoa winches and one electric Harken 40 STE on the coachroof, alongside a manual Harken 40.2 ST.
