This 30-foot aluminum trawler was custom-built to a Chesapeake Marine Design and finished in welded aluminum with a focus on durability and low maintenance. The hull is backed by five watertight bulkheads and a full-beam swim deck, offering serious seakeeping and damage tolerance for rugged Pacific Northwest cruising. The current owner acquired the boat in 2016 and has invested steady work into her systems, including a bare hull re-inspection and selective rewelding to strengthen the structure where needed.
Power comes from a 2010 Isuzu 70 horsepower diesel with approximately 380 hours, driving a three-blade stainless prop through a ZF Hurth direct-drive transmission. Keel cooling eliminates the need for a raw water heat exchanger, reducing routine maintenance. Fuel capacity of 200 gallons supports comfortable multi-week cruising at 5 knots, with 7 knots available at full throttle. A Vetus bow thruster with helm remote, installed in 2021, simplifies docking.
The pilothouse sits at the heart of the boat's functionality, fitted with a single-station helm, hydraulic SeaStar steering, and a comprehensive electronics package: Furuno GPS and radar, Raymarine autopilot, ComNav compass, Uniden VHF, and depth sounder. A port settee with table and mermaid corner add comfort to the workstation. The bow accommodates a forward V-berth and two bunks with access to the engine room. The galley includes a Nova Kool refrigerator-freezer, pressurized hot and cold water, and a stainless sink. A stand-up shower and manual head serve the head compartment. Heating is provided by three 12-volt bus heaters.
Anodes and bottom paint were renewed in spring 2026. Battery banks installed in 2022 support the house and engine systems. The boat carries a manual windlass, Danforth anchor with spares, and three 1500 GPH bilge pumps positioned forward, midship, and in the cockpit.
