2012 Viking 42 Open

The 2012 Viking 42 Open is a twin-diesel express cruiser built on Viking's fiberglass hull platform. Twin Cummins QSC-600 engines, each rated at 600 horsepower, power the boat through Zeus pod drives that deliver responsive handling and reduced vibration. With approximately 1,463 original hours logged, the engines show steady use consistent with proper maintenance. The boat features a full tuna tower with integrated electronics and control stations, trim tabs with auto control, electric windlass, and comprehensive navigational gear including dual Garmin 7217 multifunction displays, Furuno radar and speed log, SMART CRAFT autopilot with joystick control, and a SAT phone for offshore communication.

The 42 Open layouts two staterooms and one head with shower across its accommodations. The master stateroom includes a queen berth, private shower and head access, and dedicated climate control. The guest stateroom provides a second sleeping area, while the salon features a dinette and settee with a home theater system and stereo. The galley is outfitted with a two-burner electric stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and garbage disposal.

The helm station rises under a hardtop with recessed lighting and includes upgraded helm chairs, air conditioning, and a refrigerator drawer. Spreader lights, fresh and saltwater washdown systems, and a freezer round out the working deck. Hydraulic steering, RACOR fuel filters, reverse cycle air conditioning, and a smart engine synchronizer support daily operation and reliability.
