2015 Monterey 268SS Super Sport

This 26-foot Monterey bowrider combines easy handling with genuine performance. The deep vee hull tracks smoothly through varied water conditions, while the 350 hp Mercruiser 6.2L engine with Bravo III outdrive and dual props delivers 32-knot cruising speed and a 38-knot top end. The inboard/outboard setup makes the boat responsive and forgiving at the helm.

The layout spreads seating across the bow, mid, and aft sections with storage built into the cushions. Forward bow seating includes backrests and armrests; amidship bucket seats anchor the cockpit; aft bench seating spans the transom. A sun pad aft of center breaks up the layout. The swim platform at the stern has an integrated ladder, while forward boarding is served by a separate ladder from the anchor locker. Below-deck storage rounds out the galley space. A separate head compartment with sink sits privately positioned on the lower deck.

Deck hardware includes stainless grab rails, cleats, and through-hull caps. An arch frames a bimini top overhead. Rub rails with stainless inserts run the perimeter. The sole is synthetic padded material throughout, including the swim platform, and the deck is self-bailing. Navigation is LED-lit, and tow hooks are mounted aft.

Power and systems are straightforward. Trim tabs aid handling. Twin lead-acid batteries run a 12-volt panel with shore power receptacle and charger. Electronics include GPS/chart plotter, depth meter, and handheld VHF. A wet-sound stereo with Sirius receiver and subwoofer handles entertainment. The head operates electrically with macerator discharge. Fresh water and bilge pumps, electric horn, and full engine gauges complete the package. The engine has accrued 215 hours and was stored on a dry rack with no bottom paint.
