2017 Chaparral 227 SSX

The 2017 Chaparral 227 SSX is a 22-foot fiberglass bowrider powered by a single Volvo Penta 240-horsepower gasoline engine. The boat reaches speeds of 42.8 knots and cruises comfortably at 30.4 knots. Built with Kevlar-reinforced hull laminate and 100% Perma Panel marine coring, the hull carries a lifetime limited warranty. An extended V-plane design contributes to the boat's performance and handling characteristics.

The helm features power-assisted steering with tilt adjustment and a custom hand-wrapped console with stainless steel accents. Full digital instrumentation includes a depth indicator and hour meter, with fog-resistant faces and illuminated switch panels. The cockpit layout centers on a helm bucket seat and wraps around a U-shaped bench with an aft sundeck featuring three-way hinged cushions and a port-side Oasis lounge. An insulated bow ice chest with overboard drain and a 25-quart carry-on cooler provide cooling capacity.

Accommodations center on flexible seating and storage throughout. The bow area includes a walk-through door and molded bowrider seating with underneath storage. Ski and kneeboard storage is built into the floor with a rubber mat, and the rear bench includes additional underneath storage.
