The 2017 Chaparral Vortex 243 VRX is a 24-foot jet-powered ski and wake boat finished in white, black, and lime green. Twin 1.5-liter Rotax 4-TEC jet engines produce 250 horsepower. The boat has logged only 26 engine hours, with 24 of those in brackish water. A 2018 Coyote tandem-axle bunk trailer with four-wheel disc brakes and load guides is included.
The cockpit layout centers on a single driver's bucket seat with a portside flip-back L-shaped lounge that wraps around the aft section and curves forward toward the helm. A walk-through passage runs through the center of the aft seating. The helm features a tilt steering wheel, touchscreen dash and stereo, 12-volt charging, USB input, and a ski mirror. A manual wakeboard tower with integral Bimini top provides shade and support.
Accommodations and amenities include an enclosed head with pump-out toilet, saltwater stainless steel sink, and opening vent window on the port side. The boat is equipped with four cockpit speakers, two transom speakers, and a subwoofer. Storage options comprise under-floor ski and wakeboard space, in-dash starboard storage, and a bow cooler with filler cushion. Other features include a bow block-off door, bow filler cushion, a removable table with bow and cockpit mounts, transom shower, extended fiberglass swim platform, and a three-step stainless steel hideaway swim ladder. An automatic fire suppression system is installed in the engine compartment, and a battery on-off switch provides engine control.
The gelcoat shows some oxidation and fading from age and use.
