The 2017 Cobia 296 Center Console is a 29-foot fishing platform built for serious anglers and families alike. It combines a spacious, level deck designed for 360-degree fish-fighting maneuverability with comprehensive storage and live-catch capabilities. Twin 28-gallon livewells, two 80-gallon insulated fishboxes with macerator overboard drains, and tackle stations integrated into the helm seat and leaning post keep gear organized and bait fresh throughout the day.

The boat's open layout seats 11 and features a forward console with a hidden bow table that raises and lowers electronically. A full-step-down console entry provides easy access, while amenities include a fresh water sink and 72-quart cooler in the console, an electric head with macerator, and transom fresh water. A covered boarding ladder and opening port windows add convenience and ventilation.

Structurally, the deck features recessed hardware and a fully recessed bow rail, all finished in fade-resistant gelcoat with a stainless steel rub rail. Stainless steel thru-hulls with seacocks sit below the waterline, and the self-bailing cockpit includes proper drainage.
