This 2017 Schionning Wilderness 1620 is a 53-foot fiberglass catamaran powered by twin 76-horsepower Yammer diesel engines. The wide 28-foot beam provides substantial interior volume and stability. Twin bow thrusters and a remote-control anchor windlass support easy maneuvering, while the shallow 0.8-meter draft allows access to anchorages beyond the reach of conventional monohulls. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 9.3 knots.

The spacious saloon is centered around a large polished timber dining table with wrap-around seating ideal for entertaining. The galley is fully equipped with a four-burner stove and oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, and microwave. Three cabins comprise the sleeping quarters—two with queen beds and one with a double bed—served by two heads and a separate laundry room with washing machine. Ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning runs throughout, enabling comfortable cruising across diverse climates.

The covered cockpit features roll-down blinds and another large wooden table with wrap-around seating, backed by a built-in beer fridge and gas barbecue for outdoor entertaining. The boat carries a 5.5-kilowatt diesel generator, watermaker, solar panels, and wind generators to support extended cruising with reduced shore-power dependence. A fully integrated B & G electronic system manages navigation and piloting functions. Single-handed sailing is supported by an Anderson electric winch and control lines led back to the helm station.
