The 2018 Hewescraft Sportsman 160 is a 16-foot aluminum bay boat built with all-welded construction. Its shallow-draft design balances a sleek bow with efficient fuel economy, making it manageable to launch and retrieve on your own while remaining stable and safe for family use. The boat carries a 24-gallon fuel capacity and is rigged to accommodate both a 20-inch-shaft main engine and 20-inch-shaft kicker engine.

The layout centers on practical fishing and family comfort. The bow features a self-bailing treadplate deck with battery storage and a 27-gallon fish box accessible via a diamond-treadplate hatch. A walk-through door provides access forward. The helm includes a stainless steel steering wheel with quick-connect steering, a six-gang instrument panel with rocker switches, fuel gauge, and room for additional gauges.
