The 2020 Eastern 248 Explorer is a 24-foot downeast-style boat with a fiberglass hull and cabin design suited to cruising and overnighting. The hard cabin and pilothouse feature sliding windows and combine classic styling with modern composite construction—a foam core sandwiched between fiberglass layers, mounted on a solid fiberglass hull. This construction approach keeps the superstructure light, which enhances the stability inherent to the hull.
