The 2020 Freeman 42LR is a 42-foot center console powered by quad Mercury engines totaling 1,600 horsepower. Built from fiberglass with an 11.75-foot beam, this boat is designed for serious offshore fishing and cruising. The hull is finished in Whisper Gray.
The boat carries extensive electronics across three Garmin 8617 multifunction displays, supported by a Garmin GHP 20 autopilot with GHC 10 controller, GSD26 sounder module, and GXM54 Sirius weather antenna. A Marlin tower fitted to the hardtop includes a fourth Garmin 8612 MFD, Mercury controls, six LED molded lights, and E-Riggers electronic antenna mounts. The audio system features a Freeman JL Audio package with eight JL speakers, four subwoofers, three amplifiers, and a Fusion head unit.
The boat is outfitted with practical fishing and cruising features including an 800-gallon fuel capacity, two 40-gallon fresh water tanks, salt water washdown, shore power and battery chargers, a head in the console, and multiple rod holder configurations including coffin box and heavy-duty swivel styles. Outriggers are equipped with MARSH TACKY spreaders on GEMLUX bases. Lighting is comprehensive, with Lumitec spreader lights, Lumishore under-gunnel lighting, and underwater lights throughout.
The engines were repowered in 2022 with 400-horsepower Mercury Verado L6 outboards. A Platinum warranty on the repowered engines remains valid through July 2026. The boat includes a Marlin tower by Palm Beach Towers with dual-row seating and can accommodate four electric reel outlets.
