This 2020 Malibu Wakesetter 23 MXZ is a purpose-built surf and wake boat powered by the Malibu Monsoon M6Di engine. The boat is built around a comprehensive surf system including Surf Gate with Surf Band for on-the-fly wave adjustment, Power Wedge III, and a high-output HI FLO ballast setup with bow and rear ballast tanks featuring pneumatic purge and auto vent. The system also includes a Surf Pipe exhaust for a quieter experience and side pull surfing points on both sides. At 23.5 feet with an 8.5-foot beam, the hull is designed with a wide pickle-fork bow and offers substantial interior volume.

The boat's interior combines comfort with functionality. A power lift helm seat with swivel and slide faces the Malibu Sport Dash with rotary VDC joystick. The main cabin features a wakeview bench seat with integrated table, flip-down entry and exit steps on both sides, and a walkover bow filler cushion. Full soft grip flooring in light graphite and ebony covers the deck, while wireless charging stations and a wideview backup camera complete the practical layout.

Entertainment and convenience systems are fully equipped. The MXZ Premium Sound System includes Wet Sounds Icon 8 tower speakers mounted on the Arctic White Malibu G35 tower, a 12-inch subwoofer with amplifier, a 500-watt tower amp, and a transom stereo remote. Exterior features include an extended Generation II Surf Bimini, underwater transom lighting in blue, a flip-down swim step with LED lighting on the transom step, three pairs of pull-up cleats, and a flush kit for transom installation. Dual batteries provide 500 and 800 CCA capacity. The boat includes an Elite Shield trailer with fender package, 14-inch snowflake alloy wheels with side carrier, and both a boat cover with TAPS 2 and a swim platform cover.
