2021 Carolina Skiff 178 JLS

The 2021 Carolina Skiff 178 JLS is a 17-foot 8-inch center console built on a modified V-hull with an all-composite construction and wood-free stringer system. The hull draws just 6 inches of water, making it well-suited for shallow bays, creeks, and coastal rivers. Injected foam flotation and full-liner construction provide flotation and contribute to a smoother ride compared to traditional flat-bottom designs.

Power comes from a single 115-horsepower Mercury Marine engine. The boat includes a Lowrance Elite-7 chartplotter at the console, VHF radio, Motorguide X-5 trolling motor, and battery charger.

The layout emphasizes fishing functionality with a standard livewell, bow and stern casting platforms, and rod storage. The boat accommodates removable fishing chairs for flexible seating arrangements. The 6-foot 7-inch beam provides stability and usable deck space across the modest footprint.
