This 2021 Gunboat 68 is a performance catamaran built entirely in carbon composite, designed by VPLP with input from Patrick Le Quément and Christophe Chédal-Anglais. At 68 feet with a 30-foot beam and displacing 19.5 tonnes, the hull combines Grand Prix sailing technology with long-range cruising capability. Power comes from a single Yanmar diesel engine.
The yacht accommodates five cabins and four heads, with four en-suite guest staterooms, dedicated crew quarters, and expansive indoor-outdoor living spaces suited to both extended passages and island cruising. The design balances responsive sailing performance with comfort and space for owners, guests, and crew.
The boat has logged over 30,000 nautical miles across major ocean passages and extensive world-cruising. A comprehensive refit and service programme was completed at ORAMS Marine in Auckland, including servicing of the ECSix carbon rig, mast, boom, daggerboards, rudders, and key systems. New North Sails inventory has also been installed. The maintenance approach throughout ownership has emphasized proactive service and continuous improvement rather than reactive repairs.
