The 2021 Intrepid 409 Valor is a 40-foot express cruiser powered by three Mercury gasoline engines producing 1,350 horsepower total. The boat shows low engine hours—just over 200—and comes equipped with a Seakeeper 3 gyro stabilizer with only 25 sea hours, designed to reduce roll both underway and at anchor. A Fischer Panda generator with 67 hours powers the air conditioning, refrigeration, water heating, and onboard systems.
The electronics suite is comprehensive, featuring dual 24-inch Garmin displays, Garmin autopilot, Garmin open-array radar, an Icom black box VHF radio, and Intellian satellite television. Below deck, two cabins sleep up to four guests through a convertible dinette with custom pillow-top mattress alongside the V-berth. A single head serves the accommodations. The exterior cushions are stored indoors when not in use to protect them from weathering.
Maintenance access is straightforward with an engine flush manifold and selector switch integral to the design. Recent work includes a new canvas enclosure installed in March 2026 and complete topside and hull detailing finished in June 2026. The boat is finished in fiberglass and ready for immediate use.
