The 2021 Scarab 255 Open ID is a 25-foot composite jet boat built around an expansive, flexible cockpit design. Powered by a single 600-horsepower engine, it combines open-water performance with thoughtful day-boat engineering. The hull features stainless steel hardware throughout, including bow and stern eyes, pull-up cleats, and a rub rail with stainless insert. Dual swim platforms forward and aft, hidden telescoping ladders, and a bow anchor locker provide practical access and storage.
The cockpit prioritizes comfort and usability with a self-bailing layout and skid-resistant fiberglass liner. Seating includes a helm bench that seats three with a center dropdown, forward console seating, and a removable-backrest bench for additional passengers. Built-in storage runs beneath the seats, in the bow floor, and through port and starboard cargo nets. A built-in cooler, custom-contoured vinyl upholstery, and courtesy lighting complete the functional interior. A glass windshield provides some weather protection.
The helm features a tilt steering wheel and custom gauge cluster displaying fuel level, consumption, RPM, GPS speed, hour meter, compass, oil pressure, voltage, overheat warning, and check engine status. Cruise control mode and intelligent neutral and reverse (INR) simplify operation, while lateral thrust control aids maneuverability. A Kicker four-speaker stereo with AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, and auxiliary input provides entertainment.
A T-top with canvas and integrated tow point crowns the layout, and the boat includes a custom-matched tandem-axle trailer with surge brakes, submersible LED lighting, self-centering bunks, and a swing-away tongue for easy towing and launching.
