The 2022 Malibu M220 is a 22-foot bowrider built on Malibu's M-Line hull, a design engineered to handle rough water with the stability of a larger boat while maintaining the responsiveness of a compact craft. The distinctive shovel-nose bow provides additional forward seating without compromising ride quality, and the boat's high freeboard creates more interior volume for passengers, storage, and ballast capacity. Power comes from the Malibu Monsoon M6Di direct injection engine as standard, with optional Monsoon M5Di or GM Marine LT4 alternatives—all known for efficiency, reliability, and fuel economy in their class.

The M220 accommodates multiple passengers across several seating configurations. The spacious bow area features the Natalie Seat, which combines a wind block door with a center backrest for additional comfort. The cabin includes the Malibu Multi View Wake Bench, a flexible rear seat that transitions between standard bench, rear-facing, and dining table positions. Soft Grip flooring throughout provides durable, comfortable on-water performance.

The boat's ballast system combines plug-and-play and Quad Hard Tank options with fast-fill and fast-drain eMLS pumps, reducing pump time significantly.
