The 2023 Hobie Mirage Compass is a 12-foot pedal-drive fishing kayak built around the MirageDrive 180 propulsion system. The drive features Kick-Up Turbo Fins that retract automatically on impact, allowing operation in shallow water and around submerged structure while still providing smooth forward and reverse pedaling. The hull is rotomolded composite with a 34-inch beam, delivering the stability needed for standing and casting.

The cockpit combines functional design with fishing-oriented layout. A breathable mesh seat anchors the center, while an EVA-padded standing area provides secure footing for sight-fishing. H-Track accessory mounts and molded rod holders simplify gear installation, and a Lowrance-ready transducer cavity accommodates fishfinder equipment. An oversized rear cargo well handles crates, coolers, or livewells.
