2023 Sea Fox 288 Commander

The 2023 Sea Fox 288 Commander is a 28-foot center console built on a composite fiberglass hull with isothalic gelcoat and vinyl ester barrier coat protection. The boat introduces a side door in the cockpit—a first for Sea Fox—that simplifies entry and exit. A sand-grip deck surface runs throughout, paired with marine-grade soft mat accents aft for safety and comfort.

The helm features dual Garmin 8612XSV touchscreen displays, a top-mounted compass, windscreen, and backlit console badge. A fiberglass seating pod with deluxe bucket chairs and adjustable armrests sits at the center, backed by stainless steel compression latches and a battery switch with remote control. Raw water and freshwater washdown systems—the latter fed by a 26-gallon tank—mount on the seating pod.

The cockpit accommodates fishing and family outings with insulated in-floor fishboxes (40 gallons port, 45 gallons starboard), both fitted with overboard discharge pumps. Full coaming pads with integrated forward-facing bow backrests provide seating, while curved aft-facing bow backrest cushions with removable bottoms and under-seat storage expand options. An aft jump seat with below-deck bucket storage folds down to open a transom walkthrough.

Additional equipment includes a windlass anchoring system with bow and helm controls, stainless steel bow eye with chafe plate and anchor roller chute, bow compartment with rope storage, rub rail-mounted LED navigation lights, telescopic boarding ladder with integrated handle, stainless steel transom savers, and dual bilge pumps (1500 GPH each) with electronic and mechanical float switches. The boat is powered by a single gasoline engine.
