The Excess 11 is a 37-foot performance cruising catamaran built by Excess Catamarans at CNB in Bordeaux and designed by VPLP Design. This 2024 example is fitted with the Pulse Line performance package—a taller mast, enlarged working sail plan, and dedicated Code 0 in Mylar—which sharpens her light-air performance beyond the standard specification. Twin Yammer 3YM30AE 29hp diesel engines power the boat, with engine hours virtually balanced between port and starboard at 1,188 and 1,187 respectively, indicating consistent and attentive use.
The yacht is configured as the three-cabin Owner's Version, with a full-hull master suite to starboard featuring an ensuite head and shower, plus two guest cabins and a separate heads compartment in the port hull. Navigation and passage-making systems include twin Garmin GPSMAP 12-inch plotters with worldwide cartography, autopilot, AIS, and full instrumentation for wind, speed, depth, and temperature. A starboard electric primary winch supports short-handed operation. Starlink satellite internet and ship-wide Wi-Fi are installed.
The catamaran carries a comprehensive cruising inventory: watermaker, davits, Suzuki outboard, Fusion audio throughout, cockpit enclosure, and a fully equipped galley with microwave, kettle, rice cooker, and portable freezer. Bedding for all three cabins is included.
Recently returned from extended offshore cruising, the boat has undergone comprehensive refurbishment at Kos. Both engines and sail drives received full main-dealer service, the boom and throttles were replaced, the watermaker and windlass serviced, and the hull treated to fresh antifouling and three-stage polish. The manufacturer's warranty remains valid through October 2027.
