The ShearWater 260 Carolina Flare is a 26-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull, powered by a single Mercury 400 hp R V10 engine. The boat reaches a maximum speed of approximately 60 knots and cruises at 48 knots. The design combines open water performance with practical fishing capabilities in a manageable beam of 8.75 feet.
The console features power tilt helm steering and power trim tabs by Lenco. A hydraulic jackplate by Bob's allows for precise shallow-water operation. Dual battery chargers support extended use, and a stainless steel propeller is fitted as standard. The electrical system includes four overhead LED lights, four spreader lights, and two dock lights. Comfort features include plush seating with flip-up bolsters.
Tournament-oriented fishing equipment includes twin rod lockers, two livewells with high-speed pickups and recirculating aerating systems, clear baitwell lids, and eight stainless flush-mount rod holders plus five additional rod holders. A six-jet misting system aids in bait and crew cooling. Shadow Caster underwater lights provide visibility below the waterline. Twin swim platforms extend the stern recreation area.
The boat comes equipped with a custom trailer fitted with four mag wheels. Factory options include JL Audio amplification with multiple speakers, a navigation light bar, and high-gloss black powder-coated hull finish. A stainless steel package is included.
