The Ranger VS1682SC Angler is a 16.67-foot fishing boat built on a deep V hull designed to handle rough water and swells while maintaining the maneuverability of a smaller craft. The hull features upgraded pultruded fiberglass for strength and a favorable strength-to-weight ratio. Powered by a single Mercury Marine 115 horsepower gasoline engine, the boat carries a 25-gallon fuel tank and is rated to accept up to 115 hp.
The wide 8-foot beam provides stability and creates an expansive fishing platform with substantial workspace for handling fish and rigging gear. A fiberglass console comes standard, along with power trim at both the console and bow, hydraulic steering, and flush-mounted throttle control. The boat features aerated livewells fore and aft, with a large divided livewell in the rear positioned adjacent to a dedicated baitwell.
Storage is extensive, with cavernous compartments distributed forward and aft for tackle and equipment. Pop-up cleats are flush-mounted to the gunnels to eliminate snags. The hull design keeps the boat dry in larger water conditions while the wider beam offers the stability needed for active fishing work. Standard factory equipment can be supplemented with various options to tailor the boat to individual needs.
