The Zar Formenti 49 SL is a 16-foot rigid inflatable designed to seat nine people with dedicated storage throughout. The boat features self-bailing decks, a swim platform with integrated telescopic dive ladder, and a fiberglass hull paired with inflatable tubes. The hull design incorporates a sharp entry and 24-degree deadrise at the transom, along with deep reversed chines intended to direct water downward rather than outboard for a drier ride.

The boat's hull and tube configuration creates nearly three additional feet of waterline length compared to comparable designs, yielding interior volume comparable to competing models that are roughly two feet longer. Power comes from a single Suzuki gasoline engine.
