The 2026 Carolina Skiff 178 JLS is a 17-foot center console built on a modified V-hull designed for smooth performance across varying water conditions. Powered by a Suzuki DF90ATLW5 four-stroke outboard, the boat delivers 90 horsepower with fuel efficiency. The fiberglass hull measures 8 feet across the beam and drafts approximately 7 inches, with a fuel capacity of 21 gallons and maximum capacity of six people.

The layout emphasizes open deck space and storage. Forward of the console sits a spacious fishing platform with a lockable storage compartment, while the helm features full instrumentation, a stainless grab rail, windshield, and helm seating. Aft of the console are jump seats with stainless cup holders and hidden storage. A self-bailing deck runs throughout, backed by non-skid surface and stainless hardware for durability.
