The 2026 Cobalt R8 Surf is a 28-foot fiberglass bowrider powered by a Monsoon 6.2L direct injection engine rated at 430 horsepower. The hull features a Kevlar-reinforced composite construction with a composite transom and fiberglass stringer system. The boat rides on a composite floor and is equipped with six ballast tanks and an electric valve ballast system, allowing active water management for wakeboarding and surfing.

The layout includes forward seating with a walk-through bow door, an electric helm captain's chair, passenger seating with flip backrest, and aft-facing rumble seating. The helm features a dual Garmin 8610 glass cockpit display. A head with pump-out porta potti is included, along with a dinette table in solid teak. Additional comfort features encompass a cockpit heater, electric folding Prisma arch with integrated sunshade, bow filler cushions, and weighted throw pillows. LED accent lighting in caramel and carbon tones runs throughout the interior, with storage compartment lighting and illuminated switch panels.

Entertainment and convenience equipment includes a premium sound system with transom and arch speakers, wireless phone charger with holder, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB/auxiliary ports.
