The 2026 Ranger RT188 is an 18-foot 10-inch aluminum runabout built around a welded hull design reinforced with full flotation foam from bow to stern. This foam construction dampens vibrations and engine noise, helping the boat move quietly through shallow water while adding structural rigidity throughout the hull.
The RT188 prioritizes fishing functionality with a generously sized front deck that provides superior stability and working room—the bow design avoids the cramped quarters common to narrower layouts. A recessed trolling motor foot pedal keeps the helm uncluttered, while the center console houses a large rod and tackle locker measuring 8 feet 6 inches, flanked by two additional storage compartments. The fiberglass console accommodates electronics up to 12 inches and features precision steering controls.
Power comes from a single 90-horsepower Mercury Marine gasoline engine. The boat is equipped with a custom-matched Ranger Trail trailer and includes a large, aerated and divided livewell. Optional Ranger Cup packages are available to add a pair of 9-inch fishfinders and an upgraded trolling motor for enhanced capability.
