The 2026 Scout 281 XSS is a 28-foot composite bay boat powered by a Mercury 425 V10 Verado engine with electric steering. The hull comes finished in full black with a 9-foot 4-inch beam, providing a stable platform for fishing or cruising in shallow water.

The boat is equipped with Garmin electronics including a 9224 display, GT15M transducer, and VHF 315 radio with phone-to-Garmin HDMI integration. A recirculating leaning post livewell and bow flush-mount rod holders support fishing-focused operations.
