2026 Sportsman Open 402 Center Console

The 2026 Sportsman Open 402 is a 40-foot center console powered by four Mercury 425 V10 outboards delivering 1,700 horsepower. Built on a fiberglass hull with ice blue finish and coastal beige upholstery, the boat combines fishing capability with extended cruising comfort. The design integrates dual pressurized aquarium livewells at the transom, a fold-down stern seat, and a fiberglass cockpit table. Twin Garmin GPSMAP 9227 chartplotters anchor the helm alongside SeaStar Interact digital switching, Yamaha Command Link Plus touchscreen display, electric steering, autopilot, and joystick control. Additional electronics include a Garmin GMR 434xHD3 open array radar, second Garmin VHF 215 radio, and Garmin GXM54 SiriusXM weather antenna.

Four premium captain's chairs with integrated fiberglass leaning post and rear-facing mezzanine seating define the main cockpit. The console houses a convertible queen-sized berth that transforms into a U-shaped lounge, full galley with Kenyon cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator on Corian countertops, private enclosed shower, and enclosed head with overboard discharge and water heater. A 32-inch television, air conditioning, and VesselView 7 monitoring complete the interior.

Forward, wrap-around bow seating with removable backrest, electric actuated sundeck table, and under-gunwale storage create a relaxation zone. The bow features recessed handrails, electric anchor windlass, and bow thruster. Stability is enhanced by Seakeeper Ride VACS technology. The Total Access Compartment provides unrestricted bilge access. Starlink TV and internet antenna and a refrigerated mezzanine storage box are also installed.
