The 2026 Sun Tracker Bass Buggy 16 XL Select is an 18-foot aluminum pontoon built for fishing and cruising. Powered by a single 50-horsepower Mercury engine, it accommodates seven passengers and features a new console layout with a forward-facing driver seat, redesigned helm bucket, and updated color scheme. The boat includes a wraparound tinted windscreen, illuminated tachometer, and 4:2 ratio no-feedback steering with sport wheel.
The pontoon carries two removable and folding fishing chairs on heavy-duty pedestals, a forward-console seat with molded grab handles, and aft L-lounge couches with underseat storage. A 9-gallon forward-console aerated livewell with shutoff valve is integrated below the forward seat. The entertainment system includes a Wet Sounds stereo with Bluetooth and two 6.5-inch speakers positioned in the seat bases. Below-console storage with a curtain, integrated drink holders, phone compartments, and four cupholders round out the interior appointments.
The hull sits on 24-inch high-buoyancy multichambered pontoon logs with full-length longitudinal M-bracket deck supports and full-width heavy-duty extruded Z-bar supports. An all-welded, all-aluminum extended motor pod and aluminum box-beam transom provide structural strength. The pressure-treated three-quarter-inch deck carries a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Anodized aluminum fence rails with sound- and vibration-deadening insulation contribute to a quiet ride, while elevated fence panels allow for deck drainage and ventilation.
Standard equipment includes marine-grade electrical systems with protective wire wrap and water-resistant connectors. The boat comes with a 7-foot bimini top for shade. An optional fishing package adds a Lowrance Eagle 4x fishfinder and Minn Kota PowerDrive 12V trolling motor with 55-pound thrust and 54-inch shaft, plus a mooring cover and livewell system.
