The 2026 Vexus 189D is an 18-foot, 7-inch aluminum bay boat built with an all-welded high-performance pad hull and the company's proprietary Dense Base superstructure. Powered by a Mercury 115 Pro XS Command outboard, the boat delivers serious shallow-water capability with a Vector Force solid transom engineered to handle shallow water anchors. The hull design combines responsive handling with a wide, open interior layout designed for fishing versatility.
The forward deck features three-across seat bases suited for tournament rigging, with a dedicated bow livewell and baitwell complementing the main aft livewell. An 8-foot, 4-inch rod box on the port side provides secure tackle storage, while additional lockable rod boxes and center tackle storage keep gear organized throughout the boat. Fiberglass storage boxes with raised lip dams and compression latches offer weather-sealed space across the deck.
The helm is outfitted with BayStar hydraulic steering, speed, tach, fuel, and trim gauges, plus mounting space for up to 12 inches of electronics. High-performance bucket seats occupy the center, with a full cockpit layout featuring ample legroom and easy entry and exit. The boat includes a Minn Kota Edge 70 trolling motor, integrated LED bow lights, 26-gallon fuel tank, and upright level flotation. Hard Case paint with clear coat protects the exterior, while stainless steel pop-up cleats, bow and stern eyes, and a custom-matched trailer with protective coating complete the build.
