The Mikelson 45 Gen III is a 45-foot sportfish built on proven design principles from the earlier Generation II model. The hull combines solid fiberglass below the waterline with a Corecell foam core above, using premium BTI and Hexcell materials chosen for durability in long-range cruising and sportfishing. Twin Cummins QSB 6.7L turbo diesel engines, each rated at 550 horsepower, provide power and efficiency.
The exterior features polished white gel coat with frameless windows, stainless steel deck hardware, and a non-skid molded fiberglass foredeck. A large flybridge offers commanding sight lines and space for extended time on the water.
Below deck, the boat is equipped with a 9-kilowatt generator, comprehensive sound insulation in the engine room, and a 27,000 BTU air conditioning system. These systems work together to support comfort during extended voyages and hot-weather operation.
