1898 Livingston Charles

A 1898 Livingston Charles, this 62-foot classic wooden yacht was originally designed as a fast cruiser and has been substantially rebuilt to withstand another century of sailing. The hull incorporates a solid teak deck and structural reinforcement throughout, making it a working vintage yacht rather than a museum piece. The boat was fully restored and reconverted to her original gaff rig configuration, with meticulous attention paid to maintaining structural integrity while enhancing durability beyond original specifications.

The yacht accommodates two cabins and one head, providing comfortable berths for family and extended crew. Below deck, the layout supports the classical cruising mission for which she was conceived. A single Perkins diesel engine rated at 50 horsepower provides auxiliary power.

The restoration work, completed in 2006, brought the yacht back to splendid condition after a comprehensive rebuild. Since restoration, the boat has demonstrated competitive performance on the classic racing circuit in European waters.
