1902 Herreshoff Gaff Cutter

A 46-foot wooden gaff cutter built by Herreshoff Manufacturing Company in 1902, this yacht represents the classic proportions that defined the era. Designed as a 35-foot waterline racer-cruiser, she carries the distinctive sheer and sailing characteristics for which Herreshoff yachts are renowned. The boat handles equally well under sail with two or with a full racing crew, combining responsive performance with accessible seamanship.

Below deck, the interior offers traditional comfort with well-appointed accommodations and a galley. A single head serves the living spaces. On deck, the spacious cockpit accommodates both cruising and dining, with ample room for working the sails or relaxing at anchor.

The yacht underwent a comprehensive keel-up restoration from 2007 to 2010. This work included careful research into original construction and specifications, returning the boat to exacting standards. She is powered by a 55-horsepower Westerbeke diesel engine.
