A 1928 Fred Shepherd Classic Bermudan Ketch, this wooden-hulled ketch spans 80 feet in length with a 15-foot beam. The boat was originally built by Chantier Picchiotto in Viareggio and later refitted by Cantiere Navale dell'Argentario in 2007. Two MAN diesel engines producing 300 horsepower provide auxiliary power.
The yacht has undergone significant updates over the years. The main mast was replaced in 2012, and the hull was re-caulked in 2020. A new teak-laid deck on marine plywood was installed in 2004. Electrical and plumbing systems were fully renewed in 2000.
The boat includes two heads. The classic Bermudan rig and wooden construction reflect the traditional design and building methods of the era, combining authentic sailing characteristics with modernized mechanical and systems infrastructure.
