This is Hull #1 of only five 48-foot Commuters built by Chris-Craft, and one of just two known to remain. Developed as the flagship of the builder's motor yacht line, the 48-foot model expanded on the success of its smaller 38-foot sibling.
The boat measures 48 feet in length with an 11.5-foot beam and is powered by twin MerCruiser engines producing 660 horsepower combined, capable of 25 knots. The fiberglass hull represents Chris-Craft's construction quality from this iconic period of American boatbuilding.
The yacht has remained out of the water and stored in a climate-controlled facility, a practice that has helped maintain the overall condition of the hull and structure since its last sale in 1976.
