A 1938 Chris-Craft Custom Deluxe Runabout, 17 feet with a 6-foot beam, this wooden-hulled classic features a double cockpit forward design and is powered by a Gray Marine gasoline engine. Hull number 71396 is confirmed by the Mariners Museum. The boat was last used during the 2024 season and has been winterized and stored indoors.
The boat has had significant structural and mechanical work completed over the years. The full bottom was replaced by Danenberg Boatworks in 2003. Engine work includes a valve and lifter rebuild by CD's Engine Service in 2007, with valve seats replaced in 2011. The electrical system was completely rewired in 2018. Upholstery was replaced in 2004 by Tupper & Twiggs.
A custom tandem axle trailer built in 2004 is included. The boat has benefited from routine maintenance performed by Pioneer Hills Marine over its ownership history.
