Built in England in 1939, this 115-foot wooden schooner was designed as a capable world-cruising yacht for an American owner. Over subsequent decades, she became known for her distinguished ownership and notable guest list, before passing to her current stewards who have maintained her actively for both private and charter use.
Between 1990 and 2010, the yacht underwent a complete 20-year restoration at Stone Boatyard in California, where every plank, system, and fitting was restored or replaced to modern standards. Teak decks, rigging, and interior were rebuilt with longevity in mind. Recent years have brought continued upgrades through respected yards including work in 2023 and 2025: new Garmin navigation, a rebuilt 25 kW Northern Lights generator, expanded water-maker capacity, hull and rig servicing, rudder and transom rebuilds, and topsides refinished with Epifanes. Her Detroit Diesel 8V-92 engine supports a cruising speed of 9 knots.
The yacht accommodates four guest cabins plus separate crew quarters, a modern galley, air conditioning, upgraded audiovisual systems, and a bright deckhouse with direct interior access. Her Burmese teak planking and bronze fittings reflect classic schooner construction, while her modernized systems ensure reliable long-distance cruising. She has logged extensive passage-making across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and New England waters, demonstrating proven seaworthiness and performance as both a cruising platform and charter yacht.
